"I will never, never get married again," the Oscar winner, 40, says in the April issue of InStyle.
"Actually it's just that now I've come to a place where I think two people can share their lives without the ring, without the piece of paper."
With two marriages that ended in divorce, the Oscar-winning actress thinks that she'd rather not play the role of wifey anymore thanks. Her relationship with Aubry, a model she met at during a shoot for a Versace ad, has lasted more than a year after a much different type of courtship than she was used to experiencing.
"Gabriel was shy. He hardly talked to me at first."
"But that just made him more appealing. "I had to work at this a little," she says. "It wasn't a slam dunk; it wasn't the guy just showering affection on me. It made it more interesting. We were equally matched - put it that way."
However, not wanting to get married doesn't mean that Halle doesn't "very much" want children, whom she plans on adopting. I understand her wanting to adopt, but seriously, if there's any chance that she and the model can make some babies of their own, I say they have a responsibility not to waste those gorgeous genes of theirs--in the name of science.
